The green retrofit of the Tobias Henson Apartments reduced energy use by 23%. It was built in part with financing obtained through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.
The project included energy efficient features and fixtures for each of the 64 rental units. This building is fully dedicated to providing affordable housing, 56 units will be designated for households making 50 percent or below AMI, and 8 units will be reserved for households making 60 percent or below AMI.
